TACTICAL MEDICINE LLC was formed in early 2020 by members of The Joint Special Operations Group, The Gadsden State Community College, Departments of Emergency Medical Services, and Continuing Education.

Our company’s mission is to provide quality education to members of the law enforcement community and emergency medical responders in basic lifesaving medical procedures and tactical methods in response to austere conditions possibly encountered in our communities.

Our instructors are members or former members of Law Enforcement Special Operations, Fire and EMS Providers and have over 75 years of combined service in these agencies and/or military service. 

All emergency medical procedures are taught by Nationally Registered Paramedics and physicians who have experience in emergency medicine. The emergency medical portion of the course uses guidelines used by Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), International Trama Life Support (ITLS), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).

All tactical operations and tactics are taught by members or former members of the Joint Special Operations Group/SWAT Team of the Etowah County Sheriff’s Department and Gadsden City and surrounding communities Police Departments.  The tactical portion teaches methods approved and recommended by the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA).

Our company has received recognition from the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) as an approved training program and re-certification site for Tactical Paramedic Certification (TP-C) and Tactical Responder Certification (TR-C).
