Tactical Medicine, LLC is a privately owned training company located in Gadsden, Alabama. It was formed in 2020 by members of the Etowah County and Gadsden Police Department’s Joint Special Operations Group/S.W.A.T. Team in affiliation with Gadsden State Community College Department of Emergency Medical Services and Continued Education. All tuition, registration and continued education credits are managed through Gadsden State Community College.

The mission of Tactical Medicine, LLC is to provide quality training to first responders, medical professionals and law enforcement members who desire to learn basic life saving methods and develop tactical skills which may be needed in responding to situations encountered in our current society.

Candidates who enroll in the course learn how to respond to situations such as an active shooter, terrorist bombing, chemical and biological agents, and mass casualty incidents.

The course instructors are all members or former members of J.S.O.G./S.W.A.T. and have over 75 years of combined experience in firefighting, law enforcement and/or the military.

Medical lifesaving training is taught by physicians and paramedics who have experience and certification in emergency and tactical medicine.

The tactical methods of instruction follow the principles and guidelines established by the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA).

The course has received acknowledgement from the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) as a recognized training program and review course for Tactical Paramedic Certified (TP-C) and Tactical Responder Certified (TR-C).
